Breezy Berryman’s love for dance originates at a young age from watching her mother teach. This early introduction in Homer, Alaska inspired her to continue training and to graduate with her BFA from Tisch School of the Arts. While living in New York, Berryman directed her own company, producing the highlighted performances: Joyce-Soho, Dance Now, and Symphony Space. She was selected to choreograph at The Yard-Martha's Vineyard, The Silo, and The University of Alaska, and toured internationally with the Ririe-Woodbury/Nikolai Dance Theater. In 2013 she was over the moon to receive an Individual Artist Award and later, in 2017, an Artist Fellowship from the Rasmuson Foundation. As the Artistic Director of The Homer Nutcracker Ballet she brings years of experience to the production, leaving her creative stamp on the community.
